| The objective is to offer assistance in all spiritual growth areas for all willing Nicaraguans and all people that participate in Amigos for Christ mission trips. | |||||||||||||
| Challenge: The large majority of rural Nicaraguan communities do not have churches or a formal religion program that encourages spiritual growth. Short term Amigos for Christ missionaries struggle to balance all activities of a mission trip with the need to focus on the spiritual portion. |
| Approach: Working with the local church leaders, Amigos for Christ assists in the construction of churches in rural communities and the promotion of spiritual education. We seek long-term missionaries to give one or two years of their lives to work in this field. Each year, from lessons learned in the previous years, we improve our short-term missionary program by including more effective and thought provoking spiritual activities. |
